The home of dreams and the childhood fantasy is now the world of luxury and fancy restaurant dining. Here we will delve into Walt Disney World’s greatest dining experiences. Many restaurants in this world of fantasy and flavor are of a casual descent, here are some that will knock your socks off! Enjoy!

Arthur’s 27 - This is a restaurant that is located at the Wyndham Palace Resort and Spa in Downtown Disney. It is known as the most “overlooked restaurant in all of Disney” (about.com) and has a beautiful Disney view outside of its various windows strategically placed all throughout the restaurant. Arthur’s is a primary seafood station with different cuisines from bass to foie gras. You have the option to get 4 or 5 course dinners and the service at Arthur’s is fabulous. Contact Arthur’s to make a reservation- it can be a long wait otherwise! (407) 827-3450

Shula's Steakhouse - Shula’s Steakhouse is a nationally known steakhouse and is routinely found among the nation’s best restaurants. Steaks are varied from New York strips to filet mignon. Shula’s is especially revered for its potato pancakes along with its spin age pie. This restaurant was originated by legendary Miami Dolphin football coach Don Shula as he had the goal of developing the best steak house in the country. A complete menu can be found at www.donshula.com and they can be contacted otherwise at 305-817-4072.

Boma - This gourmet restaurant is found at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and is especially original because it is one of the few established restaurants that can pull of a buffet style dinner with fancy service and great food. The Boma is a great pick if you are already visiting the Animal Kingdom and you need a place to eat that is casual yet fancy. Its exotic spread includes many African dishes with American classics such as hamburgers for those who are not on the wild side! Boma’s is open at breakfast as well as well as lunch and dinner. If you are up for a different kind of restaurant and are in the area already make a reservation ($10 extra for priority seating)!

Jiko - The Cooking Place- Another of the fancy restaurants in the Animal Kingdom, Jiko’s offers some “New African” dishes such as duck firecracker, pica hummus and pastille. The Cooking Place has a varied menu to pick from but don’t worry, you have plenty of time to eat- Jiko’s is a restaurant where everything takes time and everything is presented in a fanciful way. Chef Anette Grecchi-Gray will offer up flavorful African dishes that will keep you coming back to Jiko’s time and time again!

Walt Disney World is an exotic place unto itself; but when you’re there treating yourself or your family to a great vacation, why not go all out on your dining experiences as well? Listed above are not only the very best restaurants in the resort area but also some of the most renowned in the country. Go fancy, go exotic, go Disney World!
