Character Meet and Greets for Mickey's not so Scary Halloween Party 2011

One of the most popular aspects of Disney's "hard ticket" party events are the character meet and greet activities, and this will be no different for the 2011 Mickey's not so Scary Halloween Party.

Most of the meet and greets will follow the standard operating proceedures in place at Walt Disney World - namely, you stand in line, and when it's your turn, you get a brief interaction with the character in question (usually one at a time - group shots are pretty rare). You pose for a picture, and if you have something to be autographed, you get the signature, and then, the next family takes their turn.

What makes the meet and greets at Mickey's not so Scary Halloween Party so special is the fact that there are quite a few characters who are either very rare, or who do not appear at all on regular park days, in attendence. In many cases, attending the party is the only way that you'll be able to have any face to face time with some of the available villains.

Furthermore, many of the easy to find characters (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Stitch, etc) are appearing in Halloween costumes.

In all cases, listed princesses will be attended by the applicable prince - Naveen for Tiana, Phillip for Aurora, etc.

Do note that the seven dwarfs are an exception to the typical meet and greet rule - due to overwhelming popularity, they are only available as a group, and they take photos only (no autographs).

Here are the published listings of the various characters that will appear for the 2011 Mickey's not so Scary Halloween Party. Characters denoted with an (*) are known to only appear during special events (such as this party). Also, be aware that there may be other surprise characters appearing.

  • Mickey and Minnie @ Town Square Theater, Main Street. Meeting continuously from 7:00pm to 12:00am.

  • Disney Princesses @ Town Square Theater, Main Street. Meeting continuously from 7:00pm to 12:00am. I have it on good information that instead of rotating, all three princesses (and their appropriate princes) will be meeting continuously through the night. This will be Flynn and Rapunzel, Cinderella with Prince Charming, and Snow White and her prince.

  • Aurora and Prince Phillip @ Fairytale Gardens, Fantasyland. Meeting intermittently from 7:00pm to 12:00am.

  • Duffy the Disney Bear @ Tour Guide Gardens, Main Street. Meeting continuously from 7:00pm to 12:00am. Note that Duffy will be appearing in a holiday costume, as opposed to his normal outfit.

  • Pooh and Friends @ Flag Pole Planter, Town Square, Main Street. Meeting intermittently from 7:00pm to 12:00am, except during parade times. Rumors have held that Christopher Robin (*) might be appearing at this location, but as it turns out, he is appearing in the parade only.

Expect Tigger, Eeyore, and probably Piglet, but please check back to see exactly which of Pooh's friends do show up for meet and greets.

  • Disney Villains @ Castle Hub. Meeting intermittently from 7:00pm to 12:00am, except during parade times. Featuring: Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella (the wicked stepsisters), Lotso (*), Jafar (*), Gaston (*).

The following villains will appear in the Mix and Mingle show: Captain Hook, Maleficent (*), Dr. Facilier (*), Frollo (*), Cruella de Vil, Snow Queen (* - aka Evil Queen from Snow White), Queen of Hearts.

The Mix & Mingle performers will be available for photos ops (but almost certainly no autographs) following showtimes throughout the night.

It does appear that the reports indicating that Hades would be at this year's party are, indeed, incorrect.

  • The Seven Dwarfs (*) from Snow White @ Splash Mountain Exit, Frontierland. Meeting continuously from 7:00pm to 12:00am.

  • Captain Jack Sparrow (*) @ Pirates of the Carribean, Adventureland. Meeting intermittently from 7:00pm to 12:00am.

That's right! Even though Jack was not listed in any of the pre-party reports, he is indeed appearing for meet and greets.

  • Madame Carlotta (*) and Rinotta (*) @ the Haunted Mansion lawn, Liberty Square. Rotating continuously from 7:00pm to 12:00am.

  • Tiana and Naveen (*) @ Enchanted Glade, Liberty Square. Meeting intermittently from 7:00pm to 12:00am.

  • Tinker Bell and Disney Fairies @ Adventureland Veranda, Adventureland. Meeting continuously from 7:00pm to 12:00am.

  • Donald and Daisy @ Gazebo outside Veranda, Adventureland. Meeting intermittently from 7:00pm to 12:00am, except during parade times.

  • Timon (*) and Rafiki @ Swiss Family Treehouse, Adventureland. Rotating continuously from 7:00pm to 12:00am.

  • Tarzan (*), Jane (*), and Terk @ Veranda Porch, Adventureland. Rotating continuously from 7:00pm to 12:00am.

  • Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie, and Abu (*) @ Magic Carpets, Adventureland. Rotating continuously from 7:00pm to 12:00am.

  • Alice and the Mad Hatter @ Mad Tea Party, Fantasyland. Rotating continuously from 7:00pm to 12:00am.

  • Buzz Lightyear @ Galaxy Gate, Tomorrowland. Meeting continuously from 7:00pm to 12:00am.
