This article highlights the best rides, shows, and restaurants to experience when doing Disney World with a one to threww year old child. This doesn't mean they won't enjoy others, but these are some must-do lists for those ages. There is something purely innocent and magical about Disney for a toddler. I always tell people that two is a great age for a first Disney trip. Yes, they may not remember it... but it's something a parent will never forget.

Magic Kingdom
Rides
Carousel - Yes, you can ride these elsewhere, but you won't get a castle view while going around!

It's a small world - the different moving characters and bright cheery colors are wonderful for this age group.

Mad Tea Party - You can decide how much of a thrill to make it as you can control the speed of the spinning.

The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh - the whole ride is great, from the interactive line to the bouncing honey pot vehicles. Will be the favorite memory of many toddlers.

Peter Pan's Flight - Set sail for Neverland, a magical journey on a pirate ship, what more could a toddler want?

Dumbo - You cannot visit Disney without a spin around on the famous elephant. There is also now a fun indoor (air conditioned) playground you can enter while waiting for your turn to ride. This really cuts down onthe amount of time you have to stand in the sun.

Jungle Cruise - While the jokes will be over their heads, they can be enjoyed by the parents. The kids love the scenery (many will beliecve that the animals are very real) and the boat ride itself.

Magic Carpets of Aladdin - Children have fun controlling the up and down and trying to dodge the spitting camels.

Walt Disney Railroad - Easy way to skip some walking, and there are a couple of neat setups that you only see from train.

Astro Orbiter - Great first "thrill" ride.

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin - interactive ride where they can battle Zerg. Kids love shooting the laser guns, and Buzz is as popular as ever.

Ariel's Undersea Adventure - Great songs from the movie and an easygoing ride.

Shows and non-rides
Country Bear Jamboree - Some may be bored by it, but many toddlers love these singing bumbling bears.

Casey's Splash Station - Bring a change of clothes and a towel as your child will get WET.

Wishes - the nightly fireworks show is a must for at least one night of the trip.

Electrical Parade - This is a fantastic parade with many lighted floats. Very magical for toddlers.

Restaurants
Cosmic Ray's - a wide variety of food means somethign for pretty much anyone to eat here here, plus entertainment by Sunny Eclipse the lounge singing alien.

Cinderella's Royal Table - Princesses greet every table, and young boys will love the swords they are given.

Animal Kingdom

Rides
Kilimanjaro Safaris - Fun trek in a bumpy vehicale... and they get to see live animals of the savannah.

Triceratop Spin - Flying around in circles in a dinosaur they get to maneuver up and down.

Wildlife Express train - A ride on a train that ends at Rafiki's Conservation Station where they can meet characters and enjoy a petting zoo.

Shows and non-rides
The Boneyard - a wonderful play area that toddlers love to explore. Expect to spend a good chunk of time here.

Dino Sue - a large dinosaur that is a fun photo op stop.

It's Tough to be a bug - a fun interactive 3D show, though it cab be scary for some.

Maharajah Jungle Trek - some nice walking, plus views of beautiful animals.

Pangani Forest Exploration Trails - Great way to see some awesome gorillas.

Tree of Life - wonderful to point out and find different carvings of various animals.

Restaurants

Tusker House - Great character meals here!

Rainforest Cafe - wonderful decor that toddlers find amazing (the animals come "to life" through the meal).

Epcot

Rides
Journey Into Imagination With Figment - Fun ride with involvement of all 5 senses.

The seas with Nemo and friends - a fun journey in a seashell. See live fish, as well as Nemo and friends projected into the tanks.

Spaceship Earth - a slow ride that is fun to be inside the big ball

Shows and non-rides
Turtle talk with crush - a cute interactive show. Well worth your time.

Kidcot fun stops - Besides Nemo and Crush probably the most fun toddlers will have at Epcot.

Illuminations - an absolutely spectacular fireworks and music show. A must do at least once.

Restaurants
Garden Grill - Family style with character dining, special appearances by Chip and Dale.

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall - dining in a castle and character appearances

Hollywood Studios
Rides
The Great Movie Ride - A fun indoor ride that has some interaction with the movies.

Toy Story Midway Mania - One of the "funnest" rides in any of the parks.

Shows and non-rides
Honey I Shrunk The Kids Movie Set Adventure - A fun playground.

Muppet Vision 3D - silly times with the muppets.

Magic of Disney Animation - character greets and several activites.

Fantasmic! - spectacular Lights and water show, don't leave WDW without seeing it!

Restaurants
Hollywood & Vine - Lunch is a nice buffet with characters from Disney Jr

These are just what I consider the best activities for this age group, but there are many other things that they can do. There are of course plenty of other places to eat, but these listed have particular appeal to toddlers. Outside of the parks, I would definitely recommend stopping at Chef Mickey's in the Contempory. It is a charcter meal with a very kid friendly buffet and a lot of interaction.
