She shared all the American Christmas customs that have originated in Germany -- the Christmas tree, the Advent calendar, the Nutcracker.

Daruma Vendor from Japan. She told of the Japanese New Year custom of the Daruma doll, who represents the father of Buddhism.

The Monkey King told a Chinese morality type tale, focusing on the problem of vanity and how the Monkey King came to be. He was a great storyteller!

There is a male and a female Kwanzaa Storyteller. I preferred the female one that we saw this year. She really personalized the meaning of Kwanzaa. Kwanzaa is an African-American holiday which commemorates not only the harvest, but also traditional African values and unity of the family.

For info on Hanukkah we listened to the story behind the rich Jewish traditions of Hanukkah. She discussed the Dreidel game, the miracle of the lamp that burned for eight days, the story of the brave Maccabees.

La Befana is Italy's good Christmas witch! She comes down the chimney of the little bambinos and leaves them treats. Come hear her sweet story of celebration of the Epiphany.

Listen to the 3 Kings tell the story of La Navidad and the celebration's main event called La Posadas, which takes 9 days.

Listen to Sigrid, a farm girl, tell you of the mischievous Julenissen, or Christmas Gnome. Absolutely the funniest of all the Holiday entertainers in my opinion.
